Siletz Bay Paddle Trips
The U.S. Department of Fish and Wildlife is hosting a series of nature events right through June. Details of their various schedules are available on http://www.fws.gov/oregoncoast/calendar/index.cfm?da=1&mo=6&ye=2012. On June 24th features a two-hour paddle/canoe trip down the Siletz River. This is just one of the many events which will delight nature lovers. There’s no cost for this accompanied trip but you need to bring your own kayak or canoe.
Lincoln City has many more events during the month. Among the notables is the Siletz Bay Music Festival, a fortnight of musical entertainment designed for jazz, classical music and theater buffs. The city’s Culinary Center too will be conducting classes and demos in gourmet cooking. The Italian Summer Supper demo class will be held on June 29th followed by wine and a meal. Expert chefs Sharon Wiest & Chef Pati D'Eliseo will demonstrate the finer points of Italian cuisine.
