February’s all about Glass
Lincoln City continues a tradition started at the turn of the century to celebrate the new millennium. Right through February thousands of hand-crafted glass floats will be scattered over 7½ miles of its lovely beach from Roads End area stretching through to Cutler City. Families have been flocking in thousands for this annual event known as ‘Finders Keepers’. If you find a glass float you get to keep it. But first visit the Visitor and Convention Bureau who will register your float and send you a Certificate of Authenticity. You’ll also get to know more about the artist whose creativity decorates your float. Finding glass floats has become a popular family pastime. On certain days in the month the city makes the hunt a bit more interesting by leaving little bits of glass art on the beach. This season the select days are from February 18 through 20.
You couldn’t think of a better place to stay than at one of A1 Beach Rentals beach homes or condos. These are spread across from Lincoln City to Depoe Bay. This beach rental company has a fabulous mid-week special offer right through February. You stay two nights at any of their beach homes and get the third night absolutely free. This applies to 23 of their beach homes except Seabird, Surf’s Up and Moonbreaker. Click on http://www.lincolncityoregon.biz/ to know more about what Lincoln City and A1 Beach Rentals have to offer.
