November is Native American Heritage Month
Since 1990, when President George H.W. Bush approved a joint resolution, November has been designated Native American Heritage Month. It is a time to recognize the significant contributions Native Americans have made to the United States. Lincoln City, which has strong connections with Native Americans, will be celebrating throughout the month, especially on the 12th with events at the Lincoln City Cultural Center. You can visit an all-day exhibition featuring large color portraits of pow wow dancers entitled ‘Faces From The Land: A Photographic Journey Through Native America’. At 1.00 p.m. an inter-tribal drum group of 14 drummers and dancers will entertain you with a performance called ‘Turquoise Pride’. At 3.00 p.m. hear well-known author Linkey speak on ‘Native American Women: Three Who Changed History’. Of course, all other attractions that make Lincoln City the perfect vacation destination are there as permanent features.
The perfect place to stay on a beach vacation to Lincoln City is at one of A1 Beach Rentals beach homes or condos. These are well appointed, near to the beach and pet-friendly. The company can offer you beach rental accommodation of varying sizes to match your requirement. ‘Shoreline Chateau’ one of their beach houses is available over Thanksgiving at special rates.
