November is Native American Heritage Month
Since 1990, when President George H.W. Bush approved a joint resolution, November has been designated Native American Heritage Month. It is a time to recognize the significant contributions Native Americans have made to the United States. At 1.00 p.m. an inter-tribal drum group of 14 drummers and dancers will entertain you with a performance called ‘Turquoise Pride’. At 3.00 p.m. hear well-known author Linkey speak on ‘Native American Women: Three Who Changed History’.
